Posted November 11, 2018 03:29:24 A good friend of mine once told me how she used to look at the first few digits of the phone number that her husband called, and would say to him, “How did you know the first five digits?”
I used to say, “Why do you need to know that?” and he would reply, “Well, that’s just how I feel about numbers.”
Now I know the answer.
When I was a child, my parents would have me look at their phone and tell me the last four digits of their last number.
When they asked me the first four digits, I would say, I don’t know.
They would look at me, and I would tell them, it doesn’t matter.
I was the type of person that would just look at my phone and go, “Ah, well, that doesn’t count,” or “I think I have to ask for it.”
Now, I know how to get a phone number, and it doesn to work like that.
The next time you’re in the middle of a conversation, try to remember that first four digit.
You don’t need to go to the number, or call it.
It doesn’t have to be a digit, just a letter or number.
Just look at it and remember it.
